Duff & Phelps’ Property Tax Services assists clients in identifying tax saving opportunities by reviewing their tangible property portfolio and associated property tax assessments and liabilities.

  • Knowledge of general property tax practices helpful
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, landlords, assessors and collectors
  • Effectively interpret real estate leases for tax liabilities and payment responsibilities
  • Learn and understand PTMS software system, filing and imaging systems
  • Accurately enter real estate assessment data
  • Track and verify all real estate bills, supplemental tax bills and refunds
  • Understand states assigned for appeal deadlines, due dates, payment dates, assessment ratios, collection entities (county, city, school, etc.) and other important tax collection issues
  • Analyze all tax bills for correctness
  • Accurately enter all tax bill data in timely manner and forward to client for payment
  • Work to resolve all tax bill issues in a timely manner and ensure receipt of all tax bills for states assigned
  • Prioritize work load depending on due dates
  • Understand specific client issues and standing requests with regard to tax payments/bills and check writing
  • Communicate and coordinate with other department employees to completely satisfy all our client's tax management needs
  • Perform other related duties as directed by Vice President of Tax in Addison office.


  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or related property tax work experience
  • Knowledge of basic accounting or bookkeeping

  • Ability to communication with clients, staff, and assessors
