Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Senior Associate in our New York, New York office to work within our Operational Risk Due Diligence practice. The practice provides clients with an assessment of a fund’s operational infrastructure. It provides a credible measurement of the manager’s operational procedure to ensure they are in line with best practices. The Senior Associate of Operational Risk Due Diligence will be responsible for supporting D&P’s operational risk due diligence team.
· Conduct Due Diligence
· Coordinate, prepare, and conduct onsite interviews with hedge fund managers CFOs, COOs, and other operational management and personnel
· Review hedge funds' documentation
· Write operational due diligence reports
· Perform onsite due diligence reviews on hedge fund operational support structure, internal controls, trade processing environments, process flows, and personnel
· Evaluate accounting and reporting processes and controls including cash management, pricing and valuation practices, and NAV analyses
· Review third party vendor relationships, agreement terms and perform onsite reviews of certain providers
· Prepare and Review Due Diligence Reports
· Perform Projects on a wide variety of projects and given as much responsibility as their experience and capabilities permit
Requirements:
· Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting or Economics
· Minimum of three years of related work experience in financial services, preferably in the alternative investment industry
· Due Diligence experience is preferred but not required
· Proven technical skills and operational expertise, proven analytical and problem solving skills
· Demonstrated leadership experience including managing and developing team members
· Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, comfortable speaking with senior management and in front of an audience
· Highly proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
